Male', MALDIVES - A sum of MRF 500 has been deducted from National team defender Mohamed Umair’s November salary for being careless, according to authority. Umair has dropped three practices after world cup qualifying game played against Yemen in Male’ and that costs him the penalty.

‘ I didn’t know whether they paid the salary or not. They (FAM) didn’t even inform me about any reduction from the salary” Umair said.

Secretary of FAM’s interim committee Mr. Shah Ismail stated that FAM categorized players and the coach preferred reduction in Umair’s salary for his negligence.

“The reduction of 500 is for being carless to practices, it’s not a fine” Shah said.

It is believed that the changes that were made to the players’ categories are; shifting Ismail Mohamed from B category to A, Assad Ali from B to C and Ibrahim Fazeel and Ali Ashfaag being omitted from the list of players whom FAM pays salary.

FAM’s latest list was not received to maldivesoccr.com and Shah Ismail, who is currently not in Male’, asked to call tomorrow. But some other media’s has already received the list.
